A common question everywhere is "I want to be a Digital Marketing Expert. What should I do?" I have seen this question a lot of times. Is there any specific answer which especially helpful for this question? Probably yes or no, but I am going to share some tips which will help you a lot to discover the real answer.
We are surprisingly curious about Digital Marketing. The reason is, nowadays almost all the person is using the internet for many different purposes. Also, we hold an average knowledge of traditional marketing, or somehow, we are familiar with traditional marketing. Whatever the reason is we think as we do know many things about the internet may be digital marketing is just as simple as using many social platforms! Consumers are spending more times on the internet. Advertisers are also running with their product to show it through the internet.
Everyone knows that there are many free or paid courses are available on the internet. Also, workshop, one to one coaching and digital marketing all in one course are available to take. From my point of view, these courses are not effective enough to make you a digital marketing manager. These courses are outlined to achieve the fundamental knowledge of Digital Marketing. You want to be an expert in this field, but attending these course or any certification course will never make you an expert in this area. Rather you need to do something very practical. I will guide you towards that practical way. Remember that, once you complete the 30 days challenge don't pause rather start to achieve the more big target.
I hope you are familiar with Blogspot or WordPress. If not, please leave this article here, and get some more knowledge from Google. If you are already familiar with these things or such kind of things, let's play a game for 30 days.
DAY 1:
Find a topic in which you are very interested.
Collect some money to spend, because you know no game is free right now.
Create a blog and buy a domain, hosting.
Day 4:
Start writing about the topic you picked in day 1. Publish content with the quality of your level. Do some basic study about SEO. Try to write every tips and trick related to SEO.
Day 6:
Now you know some very basic of SEO, but today you will learn a moderate level of SEO. Today you will give more time than other days. Open youtube and google and try to learn as much as possible.
Day 8:
From today you will publish every content with SEO optimized. Remember, you will write quality content every day, and each article should be SEO optimized. Today your additional task is to install Google Analytics tracking code to your blog.
Day 10:
Go to Google Analytics and see if you are getting traffic. Try to explore Google Analytics as much as you understand. Open a facebook page for your blog. Design it and schedule all of your SEO optimized post for publishing each day. Open some more social media pages and do the same thing like the facebook page.
Day 12:
Again check the Google Analytics to see how much traffic you are getting every day and all other related info about your trafficks. Today open a Google AdWords account. AdWords is the best tool to do keyword research. Try to figure out what actually people are searching related to your blog's topic. Use your analytics data and keywords data to write more and more articles.
Day 14:
Spend some money to boost your Facebook page. Add a social media share button to your blog. Redesign your blog so that the audience can feel comfortable with the design. See the response once boost start. Gather every data, analyse them and take the further step if data permit to do so.
Day 16:
Learn some fundamentals on email marketing. Collect some template to use them later. Add a form in your blog to collect email subscriber. Remember this subscription area should be eye-catching to your audience. Start collecting the subscriber. In this stage, spend some money on email marketing.
Day 18:
Start email marketing along with Facebook advertising. Identify your best three or four efforts which really working as you expected. Also, write down what you are planning for your blog and getting more traffic.
Day 20:
Learn basics about Google AdSense and Google Adwords. Continue this study until you gain a strong knowledge about these two.
Here you go-
We have passed a long way! Now what? You have 10 more days to use.
You will use your remaining days only for AdSense And AdWords. Yes, these two will enhance your advertising knowledge.
So you have completed your 30 days for Digital Marketing to be an expert in this area. Are you an expert now? The answer is no because you started with a simple project which made you a mini-expert in this area.
From this small project, so far you have learned-
Content marketing
Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
Web Analytics
Email marketing
Paid Search (PPC)
Social Media Marketing
Online Advertising
Now what need to do--
Try to work with a big project and learn as much as you can about the tools related to Digital Marketing.
Summarize the efforts you gave for your above small project and try to figure out what you haven't applied there.
