If you are planning to start your ad campaign on the various platform you need to consider several things. Searching for help on the internet will give you some basic idea through thousands of result. It's hard to decide what to read or what to apply! In this series, I am going to tell you some basic checklist before starting an ad campaign.

First thing first, do you know where you are going to set your campaign? If yes, definitely you need to have adequate knowledge about the platform! So this is the first necessary thing to consider in the first place. Knowing your platform is the key point to manage your ad campaigns. You need detailed knowledge about it. Understanding your platform will give you certain opportunities.

Knowing the platform or console will help you to understand the user experience better. If you don't know the function of the platform, you probably going to spend the money relying on luck but there is no luck in advertising. Your effort will keep you in pace and give you better ROI.

Placing ads on Google, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat or any other platform is easy enough when you already aware of their ad formats. Most importantly how users are going to consume your ad or how they are consuming running ad formats is the key here. This information will give you the ultimate pleasure in advertising.

Once you are done with understanding any platform, there is some basic checklist to perform. Please go through each point so that you can start as a pro.


  • Ensure you compare every metrics accuracy of calculations (Impressions, Click, views) available in each platform.
  • Platform's available tools and targeting criteria.
  • Ensure your campaign objectives can be fulfilled within the advanced targeting option available in the platform. for example, check to see the demographic targeting is fit with your campaign objectives.
  • Find out any necessary option for your targeting audience to improve the ad content.
  • Sit with the experience trafficker to know what is each console or platform best for. An experienced trafficker will help you to disclose the pros and cons of your desired platform. This will help you to save money and time.
  • Make a checklist for Optimization. From my experience, I saw Optimization possibilities differ from platform to platform.
  • Keep your team updated by discussing the new invention in this industry.
  • Last but not least is your study. Make research and keep studying the techniques to become a successful campaign organizer.
